CAPAS Series - Automated Payload Alignment Systems
The new Comrod family of automatic payload alignment systems enables quick and effective deployment of communication or sensor assets without exposing personnel to unnecessary danger. The dual automated rotator system (CAPAS-DR) accomplishes this by enabling independent 360 degree azimuth rotation of two separate payloads. The compact design allows a single mast to be deployed in situations that would previously have required two independent masts. The single automated rotator system (CAPAS-SR) is a single rotator enabling 360 degree azimuth rotation of a single payload. The Rotator/Tilter system (CAPAS-RT) allows 360 degree azimuth rotation and ±10 degrees tilt from the horizontal plane.
Manual rotators and tilters
Rotator/Tilter adjust the azimuth and the elevation of the headload (one to multiple) while the mast is in the elevated position. Rotating and tilting are preformed manually using ropes or via an electrically powered version.
Rotators adjust the azimuth position of the headload. A single rotator enables one headload to rotate 360 degrees. The double rotator enables two headload to independently rotate 360 degrees. The rotator is available as a manual rope driven version or fully motorised. Both can be operated from the ground.
Tillters enable the antenna to tilt ±10 degrees from the horizontal plane. The tilter is available as a manual rope driven version or fully motorised. Both can be operated from the ground.
