The MecPAM is designed to deploy safely and effectively taller masts with their heavier head loads and is recommended for use with the TM 170 and above mast series.
The MecPAM main component is a telescopic square tube operated by a screw drive. The outer square tube is used to mount the assembly to the shelter wall or the roof of the transport vehicle. The inner square tube interfaces with the mast.
A worm gear is used to rotate the mast from horizontal transport position to vertical and a rack gear hoist and lowers the mast to compensate for uneven ground conditions.
Tilting of the mast is performed with a rigging screw that can compensate for a vehicle roll of 10%. All movements of the mast is locked by mechanical gear or screw drives which makes it possible to safely handle high loads.
