Comrod: Optional order for MIDS / Terre mast program.
Lerc SAS, the French subsidiary of Comrod Communication ASA, has been awarded a new optional contract from Thales Group for delivery to the MIDS project of the French Ministry of Defence (DGA). Total value of the contract is Euro 1.4 million for delivery in 2010.
MIDS is a communication, navigation and identification system intended to exchange surveillance,
command and control information among various communication platforms and weapon platforms to
enhance varied missions of each of the Services. MIDS is the next generation Joint Tactical
Information System terminal. In addition to France, USA, Spain and some other countries also
participate in the program.
