Comrod receives new order for deliveries to the US Army

Comrod Communication ASA’s wholly owned subsidiary Lerc SA in France has received an order of USD 3.2 million, around NOK 16 million, for the delivery of tactical masts to the US Army. The agreement confirms Comrod’s globally leading position in the markets for tactical antennas and masts.
”The US markets are a key focus area to the Comrod Communications Group and the past year both Comrod and Lerc has been awarded significant contracts from US customers. Through this contract for masts to the US Army we further strengthen our position in this highly competitive market”, says Comrod Communications CEO Eirik S. Larsen.

Lerc has entered into the contract with an internationally leading radio manufacturer. Under the contract Lerc will deliver 30 meter tactical masts to the US Army as end customer. The masts will be delivered before year end 2008. The masts will be used in the new generation Line Of Sight (LOS) radio system currently fielded by the US Army.

Lerc has since 1988 been delivering masts to the US Army through OEM agreements with numerous companies and this contract further confirms the strong market interest both in the US and in other markets for the safe and reliable Lerc tactical masts.
