Comrod: US Army Announces Award for HF Loop Antenna

Comrod AS, a fully owned subsidiary of Comrod Communication ASA is very pleased to announce the official notification by The United States Army Material Command (AMC) of the first order for the new advanced technology HF (loop) antenna, the HF230L.
This announcement follows extensive testing by the AMC at their Huntsville facility in Alabama, at Fort Sill in Oklahoma and at the White Sands Missile Base in Arizona.

The antenna is designed to replace the HF antennas on US and NATO vehicles so that, for the first time, they can obtain continuous on-the-move data communications in all situations.

This product, which has no direct competitor in the US or elsewhere, was developed in-house at Tau near Stavanger, and offers remarkable new capabilities to all NATO Armies, especially in difficult terrain such as Afghanistan.

Comrod AS has currently the antenna on trial and for testing by other Forces including the United States Marine Corps.

"This sale plus other recent sales directly to the US Department of Defence (DOD) for very high technology equipment is a clear indication of the very high calibre of our staff. It is very much in line with our stated plan to develop the Company Worldwide through high-value products designed for Defence markets". "We are very pleased to have this first order in place and have high expectations to this product." Stated  Niklas Hermansson President and CEO.
