Comrod UK Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Comrod Communication ASA, has today received its first order for delivery of antennas directly to Bharat Electronics, a Government of India enterprise.
Comrod Communication Group announced in August that it had opened a sales subsidiary in UK with an in-country sales manager based in Bangalore, India.
“We are very excited to already receive the first small order from India as a result of the organisation established during Q3â€, says CEO Niklas Hermanson. “This means that we now have approval as vendor to the Indian government. This approval and our local presence will open new possibilities for selling our masts, antennas and power supply solutions into this important defence market. Comrod Communication Group expects to see more orders from India already during the next 2-3 months.â€
The antenna now ordered is a Shipboard HF antenna of model AT100D which is a high quality glass fibre transmitting antenna for marine coastal and HF telephony bands. It matches well all modern SSB marine telephony transmitters. This first order will be shipped already this week from Comrod AS, Tau (Norway). The delivery is into a defence program expected to run for 5-7 years from now.
