Comrod ETAMS solves several current military problems that include, but are not limited to:
Visual Signature – ETAMS-HF-S4 delivers seven RF channels through one elevated antenna. Adversaries intercepting signals see only one transmission source instead of seven elevated antenna masts, minimizing signature.
Mobility – Traditional command posts require multiple antennas, hindering mobility. With ETAMS-HF-S4, setup time for seven RF channels is reduced to just 10-15 minutes using a single elevated antenna mast, significantly enhancing operational mobility.
Technology – With network modernization priorities, VHF-only antennas are increasingly outdated. ETAMS covers VHF, UHF, and L/S Bands, supporting modern radios and waveforms such as TSM, and eliminates the need for separate OE-254 and COM-201B antennas for range extension.
Soldier mobility – ETAMS enables rapid antenna setup, improving mobility for soldiers. Setup time for ETAMS is about 7-10 minutes (without HF or INTAS) and 10-15 minutes for ETAMS-HF-S4—faster than the OE-254’s published 15-minute setup.
One multi-band antenna and mast can replace up to seven legacy HF antenna and mast systems.
