Comrod ETAMS solves several current military problems that include, but are not limited to:
Visual Signature – ETAMS can deliver up to seven RF channels through one elevated antenna system, presenting only one visual signature and transmission source instead of multiple elevated antenna systems.
Mobility – Traditional command posts require multiple antennas, hindering mobility. With ETAMS, setup time is reduced to just 7-10 minutes using a single elevated antenna mast system, significantly enhancing operational mobility.
Technology – With network modernization, higher frequency bands are essential. ETAMS covers both legacy VHF and UHF frequencies, as well as L/S Bands, supporting modern MANET technology.
Soldier mobility – ETAMS enables rapid antenna setup, improving mobility for soldiers. Setup time for ETAMS is about 7-10 minutes, faster than the OE-254’s published 15-minute setup time.
One multi-band antenna and mast system can replace up to five legacy VHF and HF antenna and mast systems, plus additional L-S band capability.
